Mavado, Buju Banton, and Sizzla collaborated on DJ Khaled’s new song, “Holy Mountain.”
Leave it up to DJ Khaled to get three of the biggest names in reggae/dancehall on the same track. The We The Best Music Group leader dropped off his new album, Father Of Asahd, on Friday and it’s packed with bangers from a star-studded lineup. The first single on the 15-track album is a dancehall banger titled “Holy Mountain” featuring Buju Banton, Sizzla, Mavado, and 070 Shake.
“Right through the gates of hell / Wait that wretched soul that live a life of evil, out of control / Tormented soul, tormented soul, go away / Go away, go away from me / Take them away, Father, take them away, ooh / Right through the gates of Hell / We power over darkness and light,” Buju sings.
Buju Banton is also featured on the last single on the album titled, “Holy Ground.” DJ Khaled shot a music video for the single “Holy Mountain” earlier this year, with portions of it shot in Sizzla’s home town August Town during his visit to Jamaica in December. Other parts of the video was shot in Miami with Mavado and Jahmiel being on the video set.
Other artists to get featured on Father of Asahd includes Big Sean, Cardi B, Meek Mill, 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Future, Beyonce, JAY-Z, SZA, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Gunna, and more. The album is now available on all streaming platforms. The music video for “Holy Mountain” drops on Friday.
