Lil Mister was reportedly shot dead in Chicago.
The local Chicago hip-hop community is mourning the loss of another one of its own as gun violence continues to grip the city. Early reports confirmed that rapper Lil Mister, real name Antwon Fields, was shot dead in the 7400 block of South Harvard, Englewood on the South Side of Chicago. The shooting reportedly took placed late Friday evening, March 19. Police responded to a 911 call for gunfire in the neighborhood.
When they arrived, cops found the 24-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds. The rapper was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Lil Mister, aka Lil Woppa, was a fast-rising rapper in the Chicago area following the success of his single “No Lacking” featuring P Rico. He also scored another hit with his single “Take Off” featuring Diesel.
