The R&B beauty has been living her best life in Trinidad after converging on the island for Carnival 2019. She posted a new clip of herself shaking her booty on Jamaican sprint king Usain Bolt while Machel Montano sings in the camera. We’re told that Machel and Ashanti recent shot a music video in the Trinidad and Tobago for a collaboration that they got coming out. Urban Islandz previously shared some videos of the R&B icon twerking in the crowd at Carnival, and here is another clip that is a whole weekend mood.
In a post on her IG, Ashanti admitted that she couldn’t outrun Usain Bolt, but she can probably beat him in a triple jump, and for sure twerking. “Maybe I can beat him in the triple jump tho?” she wrote.
The former Murder Inc songstress says she has always loved soca music, but being at Trinidad Carnival this year is hands down the best experience of her life. “Experience Carnival & Soca music on this level has been absolutely amazing, truly one of the best times and experiences of my life,” she said.
It’s very clear that Ashanti had the time of her life in the Caribbean and Usain Bolt and Machel Montano had the best view. The R&B singer has been working on a new project with Ja Rule which will be a joint album between the old collaborators. More details will be forthcoming on that project, which is tentatively set for release sometime this year.
