Vybz Kartel and Bounty Killer throw their support behind Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson found some allies in dancehall following his fallout from “Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland” interview. The media mogul has been getting some backlash and some support for her interview of Michael Jackson accusers, who paint the late King of Pop in a terrible light. Since HBO aired its “Leaving Neverland” documentary about Michael Jackson’s alleged sexual abuse against young kids, radio stations have been pulling his music from their lineup. New reporting is now suggesting that animated series “The Simpsons” has also pulled an episode featuring Michael Jackson.
In a lengthy post, dancehall legend Bounty Killer chided Michael Jackson critics for going back to his past, while also noting that he was never found guilty of any crimes. “Salute to the greatest artiste of all generation 750,000,000 albums sold donated over 300,000,000 to charities worldwide Thriller is the biggest selling album of all times over 100,000,000 copies sold: THEY DRAGGED HIM FROM NEVERLAND TO NETHERLANDS ON 14 COUNTS OF CHILD ABUSE AND HE WALKED AWAY FREE IF HE WAS GUILTY ON ONE COUNT Y’ALL THINK HE ‘D WALK FREE,” Killer wrote.
Vybz Kartel posted a clip of Robin Roberts reporting on Michael Jackson case. “Nobody cares about the #TRUTH when the #ACCUSATION IS MORE #ENTERTAINING,” the incarcerated deejay wrote while adding the hashtag, “Forever Michael Jackson.”
Vybz Kartel and Bounty Killer aren’t the only celebrities who are voicing their support for Michael Jackson. Rappers like T.I. says that the new documentary is part of a broader plot to destroy the culture and one of our greatest legends.
Nevertheless, there is a large number of celebrities who say they watched the documentary and found it to be sickening. John Legend said in a recent interview that it was extremely hard to watch.
