Rapper Young Nudy was arrested at the same time that 21 Savage was booked.
News of 21 Savage getting busted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spread like wildfire on Sunday. ICE released a statement claiming that the “Bank Account” rapper is an illegal alien who is a British citizen that overstayed his tourist visa back in 2005. More details are now coming out as to the circumstances surrounding 21’s arrest.
We’re told that 21 Savage was traveling in a car with rapper Young Nudy and another man when police pulled them over. Atlanta police arrested Nudy, and when they ran a check on Savage, whose real name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, they determined that he had some immigration issues and they then turned him over the ICE officials.
Savage is now in ICE detention pending a court hearing where he will appear before an immigration judge who could order him deported. His attorney, Dina LaPolt, is currently working overtime to have the rapper released from custody and avoid deportation to the United Kingdom.
21 Savage has been getting a lot of support from his peers in the hip-hop community including Offset, Killer Mike, and several more.
