Offset is not too happy about the 21 Savage memes making the rounds on the internet.
Ever since news broke on Sunday that ICE arrested 21 Savage in Atlanta and placed him in deportation proceedings, the hip-hop community has been reacting. The reaction quickly left from shock and dismay to laughter after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) labeled the successful rapper a British citizen. Then came the flood of memes joking about his alleged British heritage.
Demi Lovato was one of the persons who shared a meme on social media, and she immediately received a backlash for it. The pop singer has since apologized and deleted her Twitter account as hip-hop fans come down heavy on her.
Migos rapper Offset clapped back on Twitter saying there is nothing funny about the memes and fans should instead direct their attention in supporting 21 Savage who has his family to feed. “ALL THE MEMES AND SH*T AINT FUNNY WHEN SOMEBODY GOING THROUGH SOME PRAYING FOR MY DAWG,” Offset tweeted. “AINT SH*T FUNNY HIS FAMILY DEPENDING ON HIM.”
“HIS FAMILY DEPENDING ON HIM,” the Migos rapper continues, “SUCCESSFUL BLACK MAN THEY ALWAYS TRY SOME WAY TO BRING US DOWN.” 21 Savage is currently in ICE custody awaiting his court hearing.
