Blueface doesn’t care if you want to call him a SoundCloud rapper.
The fast-rising West Coast rapper gets some fresh ink showcasing the SoundCloud logo as a way of paying homage to the music streaming platform which helped launch his career. The term “SoundCloud rapper” is almost synonymous to wack rappers. But these days more and more artists are embracing it as more artists are using the platform as a launching pad for their rap careers.
Blueface is one of the fastest rising new rappers from out of the Los Angeles hip-hop community. The Famous Cryp rapper recently lands a co-sign from Drake and has been working on new music with some veteran producers like Boi-1da.
The fresh ink was done by celebrity tattoo artists Herchell Carrasco of the Pachuco Tattoo Shop in Orange, California, who has done tattoos for the likes of Tekashi 6ix9ine and Lonzo Ball. According to Blueface, the SoundCloud tattoo took a little over four hours to complete, and it looks like an exact match.
The SoundCloud platform gave rise to a bunch of the new wave rappers including Chance the Rapper, Lil Uzi Vert, and 21 Savage, who are all big-name rappers currently.
