Nessa and Ebro are saying that Travis Scott and his people are lying about Colin Kaepernick support for his Super Bowl performance.
Last night, Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden responded to new reporting that alleges that Travis Scott consulted with Colin Kaepernick before deciding to perform at this year’s Super Bowl in Atlanta. Scott has been getting some backlash for his planned performance at the halftime show. Several other big-name artists including Rihanna have declined to perform at the Super Bowl over the NFL’s treatment of Kaepernick.
“Kap did not approve this bullsh*t! Get the f*** outta here,” Old Man Ebro tweeted. It turns out that Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend Nessa Diab spotted Ebro’s tweet and followed up with a tweet of her own.
“FACTS @EBRO!!! THEY NEED TO STOP LYING,” Nessa wrote before adding in another tweet, “There is NO mutual respect and there is NO understanding for anyone working against @Kaepernick7 PERIOD. #stoplying.”
Nessa followed up her statement with a more detail post on Instagram. “Artists don’t get paid to perform at ‘the big game.’ These performers are CHOOSING to do this for a ‘look,'” she wrote.
“The fact that many people have told him don’t support the organization that has blackballed @kaepernick7 for standing up for people and he still does it anyways, shows more about him than anything else,” she continues.
“If someone wants to work with the opposition then that’s on them, BUT DO NOT have your team lie to reporters to insinuate Colin was okay with anyone working against him. PERIOD,” Nessa said.
