Kanye West and his team are desperately trying to improve his weak album Ye.
The G.O.O.D. Music rapper quietly release an update for the track “I Thought About Killing You” because there was an uncleared sampling. The entire project also received some “clean up” as per engineer, Adam Wolpert. The single sampled Kareem Lotfy’s “Fr3sh” and it turns out that it was never cleared and has not been since the release over the summer. Wolpert confirmed that the beat for the single was replaced and Ye’s fans quickly noticed it too.
“Ye” is arguably Kanye West weakest album in an otherwise impressive discography, and this update perhaps made the project even weaker. If you had previously saved the album “Ye” to your Apple Music library, then you will need to re-download it to hear the new version. Some of his fans are saying that they do not like the new versions.
“Imma be honest I understand Kanye may have not gotten the old beat cleared or whatever but this new I Thought About Killing You beat at the end is just not the same, not as good,” one fan tweeted.
