Joe Budden might just decide to come out of retirement to address Eminem dissing him on Kamikaze.
Joe Budden has finally responded to Eminem dissing him on the track “Fall” on his new album Kamikaze. The diss didn’t come as a major surprised, but when the Slaughterhouse rapper turn radio talk show host called Em’s last album Revival trash, that was a bit of a surprise. We all expected Eminem to respond but perhaps not with a full-length album full of diss tracks.
On Wednesday, Joe Budden addresses the elephant in the room on the new episode of his “The Joe Budden Podcast.” Budden let Eminem know that he has been better than him for the past decade and he is locked into his megastar cocoon. “I heard the album, and because I don’t think you know all the members that were in the group, I don’t really think you know our history,” Joey said.
The best part came when he said he has been a better rapper than Eminem this decade which pretty much means that he thinks all of Em’s new music this decade has been trash. “Let me tell you what Joe Budden has thought this entire time. I’ve been better than you this entire f**king decade!” he added.
The New Jersey rapper says that Slim Shady has been lacking in content for the better part of the last decade. Joe Budden and Eminem have had their history of being friends and now bitter foes. Joey was signed to Shady Records as part of Slaughterhouse, but all of that is now history with the two of them now going at each other.
“You have not said anything for the better part of a whole f***ing decade,” the rapper/podcaster said. “How could I be mesmerized by someone I thought I was better than?”
At the end of his podcast, Joe Budden hinted that he is leaving the door open for a possible coming out of retirement diss track for Eminem. With some bold statements like these, he now has no choice but to back up his statements with some new content, which would be a diss track for the ages.
When it comes to battle rap, Eminem is one of the best, so this should be some exciting times in hip-hop.
