Big Sean says he said what he meant and meant what he said.
Big Sean joined forces with 2 Chainz and YG over the weekend to pay homage to Colin Kaepernick during a performance. The trio performed their collaborative effort “Big Bank” which sparked some controversies last week when NFL Madden 19 censored Kaepernick’s name from the song on the soundtrack for the new installment of the popular video game. Last weekend, YG revealed that Madden CEO called him up and apologize for what happened saying he will make it right.
During the performance, Big Sean let the crowd know that he is not going to make them stop us. “What I got to say is, they can’t stop us, they ain’t goin’ censor us, they ain’t goin’ take no lyrics out of no songs because we say what we mean and we mean what we say,” Sean Don said before spitting the infamous lyrics.
“You boys all cap, I’m more Colin Kaepernick,” the Detroit spitter raps as the crowd went wild. There were also some guys on the stage taking a knee in support of the movement started by Kaepernick which landed him in a beef with the NFL.
Big Sean may just earn the title for the best lyrics of 2018.
