Big Sean is furious with NFL and EA for removing Colin Kaepernick in his song “Big Bank” in Madden 19.
Big Sean took to Twitter on Thursday to air out his grouses with the NFL and Electronic Arts saying that what they did no one from his team approved it. It seems there could be some legal troubles on the way because from the sound of it, Sean Don wants justice. The Detroit rapper says the two companies are treating Kaepernick’s name like it is a curse word when it’s not and he is more like a gift to us and I agree.
“It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he’s not a curse, he’s a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this,” BS tweeted.
Colin Kaepernick also weight in by replying to Big Sean’s tweet saying, “Much love brother! Thank you for having my back!”
Clearly, the NFL and EA has some explaining to do because I will not be buying Madden 19 if there is no remedy for this. EA revealed the soundtrack for Madden 19 earlier this week and among the rappers to be featured includes YG, Big Sean, Migos, Cardi B, and more.
YG’s single “Big Banks” featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Nicki Minaj was including on the tracklist. The video game giant censored Sean Don’s verse by removing ball player Colin Kaepernick name presumably over his issues with the NFL.
