Tekashi 6ix9ine was released from jail on Friday after a judge granted his third request for bail.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is thanking his lawyer, Ian Niles, for putting in overtime this week to get him out of jail. The controversial rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested at the JFK Airport in New York on Wednesday, just moments after arriving on a flight from his overseas tour. Tekashi69 was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Houston following an assault incident earlier this year involving a 16-year-old at a popular mall.
Since Wednesday, 6ix9ine has been trying to get bail, but a judge denied him at least twice. It seems the third time is the charm. On Friday, a judge approved his bail for $150,000 cash and being a wealthy hip hop star, Tekashi69 was able to make bond.
The “Day 69” rapper went on Instagram Live moments ago to thank his attorneys and his fans for their support. “Why my city do me like that?” he yelled in the video clip while driving home. “Shout-out to these lawyers, shout-out to these f***ing lawyers man, them ni**as work quick. I am so happy to be home I can’t wait to see my baby, I can’t wait to see my daughter.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine says the cops didn’t even allow him to get off the plane in New York when he arrived from his tour in Europe. He is also required to surrender to Texas authorities for possible prosecution.
