Tekashi 6ix9ine will likely be in the slammer for at least a week.
The New York rapper was arrested at the JFK Airport in NYC on Wednesday for an outstanding warrant in Texas. He is currently in jail in his hometown and will have to wait another week until he knows if we will be extradited to Houston where he is facing assault charges. Police say Tekashi 6ix9ine beat up and choked a 16-year-old at the Galleria Mall in H-Town. He will remain in custody until July 20, TMZ reported.
Tekashi69 was picked up by NYPD just moments after arriving on a flight to JFK from his overseas tour in Europe. His management contends that the rapper had known about the warrant and had been planning to address it. His team also blasted the NYPD for arresting him on a misdemeanor that took place in another state.
The arrest will also affect Tekashi 6ix9ine’s bottom line since he has a show planned for New Jersey this Friday. All signs are pointing towards him missing that show which means lost revenue for him.
