It’s “God’s Plan” for Drake to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The 6 God is still at the top of the chart for a third consecutive week with his mega-hit single “God’s Plan.” The track continues to see strong sales and strong streaming across all platforms and could be at the top of the chart for the long haul. Billboard reported that Drake is the first artist to clocks 75 million streams in the United States with one single in three weeks. Let’s bare in mind that this comes after the single broke Spotify and Apple Music’s single day streams.
It’s still safe to assume that Drake season is back and pundits are already predicting that he will remain at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart for at least a couple more weeks. The two singles on the Scary Hours EP saw 82.4 million and 83.3 million streams in the past two weeks. They currently hold the record for the fourth, fifth and sixth best streaming weeks ever recorded.
“God’s Plan” is also No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, and Digital Song charts, as well as, No. 17 on Radio Songs chart. Drake shoot the music video for the single in Miami last week and after wrapping up productions, he went on a giving spree by donating $50,000 to a women’s shelter, giving a University of Miami student a $50,000 scholarship, and donating $25,000 to Miami Senior High School where he shot part of the video. As if that wasn’t enough, Drizzy bought $50,000 in grocery for some lucky shoppers at a local supermarket.
Elsewhere on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” is at No. 2, Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s “Finesse” at No. 3, Camila Cabello featuring Young Thug song “Havana” at No. 4, Post Malone’s “Rockstar” at No. 5, Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” at No. 6, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar’s “Pray for Me” debut at No. 7, Migos’s “Stir Fry” at No. 8, Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be” at No. 9, and Halsey’s “Bad At Love” at No. 10.
