Cardi B joins Beyonce as the only two female artists in history to have four songs on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart top 10.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper keeps getting into more exclusive clubs when it comes to the Billboard chart and streaming charts history. It’s no secret that Cardi B had a phenomenal year in 2017 and the new year is already off to a banging start. Not only has she dropped some new music, they all charted on their debut week and now she is the second female artist in history to hold four spots in the top ten of the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart.
On Thursday, her new lead single “Bartier Cardi” featuring 21 Savage, reach the top ten on the chart. Her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” is currently at No. 5, “Bartier Cardi” is at No. 9, “MotorSport” with Migos and Nicki Minaj is at No. 3, while “No Limit” with G-Eazy is at No. 2 on the chart. On the heels of her new milestone on Billboard, Cardi B is getting ready to perform at the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony in New York later this months. She is also nominated for two Grammy’s and is hoping to at least walk away with one. No doubt a Grammy would help cement her place as a new force in hip hop to be reckoned with.
While Cardi B is only the second woman to achieve 4/10 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart, a couple male rappers have done it already. Eminem, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Drake, and Lil Wayne have all achieve the 4/10 on the chart.
Cardi B is currently working on her debut album, a project that she says that she is holding close to her heart to make sure its done properly. There are no release date or title for the project but I guess it will have something to do with Bardi, Cardi, or Bodak.
