Big Sean gave back to his community in a big way for Thanksgiving.
The Detroit rapper returned to his home state of Michigan for the Thanksgiving holiday where he handed out over 5,000 turkeys to families who are a little less fortunate than he is. Big Sean took part in a charitable event at the River Rouge High School, in River Rouge this morning where he handed out a truck load of food stuffs for Thanksgiving, something he had done every year since becoming a rap superstar.
The G.O.O.D. Music rapper was participating in the Tarence Wheeler’s 19th annual All-Star Give Back, a charitable event organized by himself and some well known athletes from the community including, Derrick Coleman, Dave Bing, and Gary Payton. Big Sean was also at the same event last year handing out over 2,000 turkeys and other Thanksgiving grocery items.
“Annual Turkey Giveaway away today. We gave close to 5,000 turkeys w/ sides this year. I smiled so much today man. Too much love for everybody there! Blessed,” Big Sean said on Instagram. You can see some photos and a video below showing the I Decided rapper giving away some free Puma sneakers and gift cards to Footlocker for them to shop.
“I’m from the Detroit and I love everybody in here,” Big Sean said. “Y’all got what it takes to boss up and take it further than I ever did or anyone ever did. Much love to y’all. That’s why we’re here supporting you, showing you that we care about you, and that we’re here for y’all.”
