Alkaline made a huge impact on dancehall culture over the last few years and his new single is rightfully titled “Impact.”
The track “Impact” resonate with a lot of the deejay’s Vendetta fan base and was the number one trending dancehall single on YouTube following it’s release on May 12th. Within a week, the track topped a million views on Alkaline’s Vevo channel. The track was produced by Gego Don Records and distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital. “Just a mek the youth dem know seh you can be anything weh you wah be yuh zeet. Can achieve anything weh you wah achieve literally..” says Alkaline. The Vendetta deejay also said that the song chronicles his person journey and rise in dancehall.
Gego Don added that the track was recorded for the youths going through some struggles. “Impact is a gift to the yutes who face many adverse situations but are destined to achieve greatness,” he said. “First time producing and I’m humbled and grateful for all the love and support I’ve been receiving on this project. Summer a fawud fans can look our for more bangers. Nuff respect goes out to the fans and maximum respect to the manhimselff.”
“Impact” will be available on iTunes on May 26th.
