This project is the rapper’s second major album and comes with twelve brand new singles and guest features from Chronixx on “Babylon,” J. Cole on “Legendary,” Styles P on “Super Predator,” ScHoolboy Q on “Rockabye Baby,” Nyck Caution, Kirk Knight, and Meechy Dark on “Ring The Alarm.” The album features the previously politically charged single “Land of the Free” where Joey Bada$$ raps about Trump presidency. Project also comes after the New York rapper released a progress anthem titled “Devastated.”
On Thursday, Joey Badass spoke with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 radio where he spoke about the message of the album coming from his personal experiences as a black man in America. “The musician side of me started feeling responsible, not responsible for what was happening, but responsible on how we can change it,” he said. “How we could bring more awareness to certain situations. This project, I’m glad you said it, it’s about my experience as a black man in America, but it’s not just my experience. It’s your experience.”
Unfortunately for Joey, the album was leaked online earlier this week which could eat into his first-week sales figures. Stream the full album on Apple Music below.
