Nicki Minaj is getting ready to walk the catwalk after confirming that she has signed a modeling contract with Wilhelmina International, Inc.
The “No Frauds” rapper is no stranger to the fashion world and was recently in Paris for Fashion Week where she was a big hit. Vogue reported on Tuesday that Nicki Minaj signed a modeling contract with Wilhelmina and she confirmed the reports on her social media accounts shortly after. “Oh yea. That too. thank you #Vogue for breaking this story. Honored to be,” she wrote on Instagram.
The 34-year-old rapper joined the likes of Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, and Nick Jones who are signed with the company. “I love the synergy between my music and how it inspires my fashion. My message is always celebrating your own style,” Nicki Minaj wrote on IG. “I’m thrilled and honored to have signed with Wilhelmina. They get me.”
Following her beef with Remy Ma, Nicki Minaj has been enjoying some good press since dropping three new singles earlier this month, “No Frauds” with Lil Wayne and Drake, “Change It” with Lil Wayne, and “Regret In Your Tears” which is a solo single addressing her breakup with Meek Mill. Last week she reached a career milestone after being crowned the new queen of Billboard Hot 100 chart. She surpassed Aretha Franklin for the female with the most Hot 100 singles and she now stands at 76. The previous record was at 73 and held by the soul singer for decades.
Nicki Minaj, who is currently working on her new album, also have some upcoming music with 2 Chainz. The Atlanta trapper confirmed on IG this week that their new collaboration is going to create problems. We don’t know yet what problems that entails but given Nicki’s recent issues with Remy Ma and her exes, it could well be another diss track.
