Lil Wayne has launched Young Money Radio and it’s going live today (March 28).
Over the past few years several big name rappers have launched their own radio stations including Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, DJ Khaled, and Drake. Now Lil Wayne is looking for a new avenue to get his music out there and possible music from all the artists under his Young Money umbrella which includes Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Unlike the other artists previously named, Lil Wayne is not partnering with Apple Music and has instead signed a new deal with Dash Radio. Perhaps there would be some conflict of interest if he go to Apple Music given his interest in TIDAL Music. He will be premiering a new mixtape from one of his new artists on the first episode of the radio program starting at 5 PM EST.
“Stoked to announce my new partnership with Dash Radio to present Young Money Radio,” Weezy wrote on Instagram. “Your place to hear everything YM inkludin new musik from me and all my artist. Y’all go tune in. Link in bio. Tomorrow exklusive premiere of @hood2go Kitchen 24 album. 5p est.”
