Vershon is making it clear that he is not a coward and will not back down in his ongoing beef with fellow young dancehall gunner Jahmiel.
The two deejays have been locked in a bitter feud since around last week and had already dropped around a dozen diss tracks in the space of around a week time. This avalanche of diss records prompted some dancehall fans to criticized both deejays for watering down their music in an effort to respond faster.
According to Vershoon, he took offense with Jahmiel because the deejay brought his son into the beef. He also feels like the Patriots deejay is envious of his growing career in dancehall. “Mi nuh wah no man feel like me a coward, nuh true yuh see me a sing nice songs with positive messages, yuh feel like yuh can diss me or diss me yute,” the “In a Real Life” deejay said.
Vershon also said despite him being friends with Popcaan, the beef with Jahmiel is not a Gully Vendetta vs Unruly feud. “People know say me and Popcaan a fren like that and people know say him and Mavado a fren like that, so me and him nuh supposed to have nothing because a dat,” he added. “People ago say is a Vendetta/Gully vs Unruly thing, but is not that a gwaan. Is just this yute a try fi say him better than me and me a address it.”
The rain of diss tracks have died down for now and fans of both sides say their artist is the winner.
