Bobby Shmurda Takes Another Plea Deal Prison Sentence Increases

Bobby Shmurda is currently serving a 7-year prison sentence but now he is facing a longer term after coping a new plea deal.

The “Hot Ni**a” rap star accepted a plea deal on Thursday in relation to his contraband case that could see him getting an addition four years on his current sentence, although he will likely received less than that. Back in 2015 the rapper was slapped with a felony charge of attempted promoting prison contraband after his girlfriend Kimberly Rousseau tried to smuggle a sharp metal object inside the prison to give to him.

Rousseau pleaded guilty to charges of promoting prison contraband, but avoid prison time. Shmurda accepted a plea deal on Thursday in court which could see him getting an additional 1.3 to four years on top of his sentence, Billboard reported. This is particularly strange that he would take another plea deal after complaining bitterly in court last year that he wants to get out of his first deal because his attorney forced him to sign the papers.

In December last year, reports surfaced that Bobby Shmurda could received a lesser sentencing if he accepts a plea deal in this contraband case. Turns out that may not be the case, but as to how much more time he will serve will depend on the mood of the judge.
