Rihanna stars in the first trailer for the final season of Bates Motel and we can’t wait for the show to premiere.
The “Work” pop singer has been revving up her acting career over the last year and this year is shaping up to be a big one for her on the big screen with two blockbuster movies under production Ocean’s Eight and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Rihanna plays a character name Marion Crane in Bates Motel and she pulls it off so well.
A&E gave is the first look at the trailer for the fifth and final season of the bone chilling series yesterday. It seems Marion may not be around in the final season for long but I am sure her stay will be worth it. The short clip shows Marion Crane arriving in a huge thunder storm, a scene that reminds us of the original film. She was greeted by Norman Bates, the neighborhood psycho, at the checking desk.
“We’re taking threads of that story and definitely using them so it’s recognizable, it’s just where we go with it is very different,” executive producer Kerry Erin told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s tough to be in a situation where you’re in love with a guy, and for whatever reason, he keeps stalling. You still have all this hot sex with him, and he’s saying he loves you, but he’s stalling. The internal story of that, for a woman, is a really interesting one. We never really got to see that. In Psycho, you just see the outside of that more. It was trying to do a story about a contemporary woman with some edge, with some expectations, who isn’t perfect, who isn’t always perfectly sweet, who is in that situation, but we’re rooting for her to get what she wants.”
