Shaggy headlines the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival which will be hosted on Sunday, November 13 in Markham Park, South Florida.
The promoter of the event, Eddy Edwards, says that patrons can come out in numbers and enjoy a fun-filled day. “We have signed Shaggy to perform and are in negotiations with other performers to be announced shortly,” Eddy said. He further added that “this is our 15th year and we are planning to make it a memorable festival with an out-of-this-world experience for our patrons”. The festival will have activities such as cooking contest, contemporary dances, poetry reading, netball, domino game, celebrities, delicious jerk dishes and a Kids zone.
The dancehall star is known for tunes such as “Oh Carolina”, “Mr. Lova Lova”, “Angel”, and his smashing hit single “It Wasn’t Me” which was his highest charting song.
Shaggy is not the only prizewinning artist that has been confirmed thus far; The festival will also feature artist such as Chaka Demus & Pliers, Singing Melody, Ikaya, Code Red Band, King Banton, Twiggy, Jahmel,and Empress Unique.
Shaggy is expected to perform his latest single “That Love”.
