J. Cole album “2014 Forest Hills Drive” is officially double platinum and he did it without a single feature.
The Roc Nation emcee received his double platinum certification last week from the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA. “Forest Hills Drive” is the first album from J. Cole to reach double platinum status. His previous two projects “Cole World: The Sideline Story” released in 2011 and “Born Sinner” released in 2013 are both certified platinum.
The album “Forest Hills Drive” saw a lot of success for J. Cole and helped cemented his name is one of the best rappers of our generation. The project peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and spawn three Hot 100 singles “No Role Modelz,” “Apparently,” and ” Wet Dreamz.”
J. Cole is currently working on his next album and you can bet it will be another classic from Jay Z’s protege.
