Burberry Perry has announced that he changes his name to TheGoodPerry aka TG Perry a day after Burberry slapped him with a lawsuit.
The Atlanta rapper was reportedly warned by the company through several ceased and desist letters but he ignored them all so the lawsuit was inevitable. He has even used the company logo on his album.
“I AM NOW THE ONE THE ONLY THEGOODPERRY AKA TG PERRY,” he wrote on Twitter.

Burberry Perry is also Lil Yatchy’s right hand man. Yatchy also took to Twitter to defend his protege.
“Sue me I gave him the name Burberry Perry I confess,” he tweeted. “Put the cuffs on me I did it.”
Perry was featured on several of the single on Lil Yatchy’s new mixtape Summer Songs 2.
This is not the first name an artist has to change their name due to lawsuits from well known corporate brands. Over a decade ago dancehall artist Mr. Lexx had to change his name from Lexxus following a lawsuit from the Japanese auto brand. Recently Rolls Royce Rizzy also lost a lawsuit for the ultra expensive car manufacturer Rolls Royce. He too has already changed his name to Royce Rizzy.
