Head of Downsound Records, Joe Bogdanovich, has been in reggae/dancehall for over two decades now. But the music executive has been experiencing a surge in popularity this year.
Bogdanovich stopped by Winford Williams on his Onstage program this weekend to discuss his recent fallout with dancehall star Khago, his Downsound Records brand, and the current state of dancehall.

“One of our first big hit was when we recorded with Jah Cure in 2005 while he was still in prison,” Joe Bogdanovich said. “I think that was the first time in Jamaican history, the song called “True Reflections” and not only did we recorded it live there but we also did the video at the same time and a press interview.”
Joe Bogdanovich also opens up about his Downsound Records label, which is the home for artists such as Specialist, Ishawna, Ninjaman, Nature, and formerly Khago.
“We are an entertainment company, we are a lifestyle company, we record and develop new artists since the beginning in 1992 and it continued all the way up to the present,” Joe said.
Joe Bogdanovich also feels questions about his wealth. The reggae music executive is believed to have a net worth that runs in the millions of US dollar.
