Mavado assault case could be coming to an end soon.
The dancehall star and his lawyer, Peter Champagnie, reported to court yesterday where both sides came to an agreement to have the matter send to mediation.

Mavado was arrested and charged with assault in June, 2011 after an incident at Bounty Killer’s birthday party at the Quad Nightclub in Kingston.
According to police report, an off duty officer, who was guarding the entrance to the club, got into a scuffle with Mavado and his entourage. The police officer in question shot and killed a close friend of Mavado, Conroy “Connie” Edwards.

Mavado, who maintained his innocence, says the bullet was meant for him.
Mavado returns to court on April 18th.
