Dancehall star Popcaan poured cold water on any prospects of a lyrical battle with rival Black Ryno.
Speaking with Winford Williams of OnStage, Popcaan explain what really happened at Sting 2012, and why he will not be clashing “Black Ants” (Popcaan words).

“The Black Ants… well that was the first obstacle that I had to kick away for the new year,” Popcaan said.
Poppy says when he first did a Black Ryno diss track, Ryno declined a lyrical confrontation.
“The first song that I song was sell we out and when I sing that for a man the man said he is a big artist so him not going to answer me, so I leave him and start doing my songs them now, so why he wants to try a thing now,” Popcaan said.
Popcaan made it very clear that he will not be clashing with Black Ryno.
“First thing is me and that boy not going to clash… I have to have a different rival because he is not qualify,” Popcaan added.
Popcaan also explained the bottle throwing incident in Zimbabwe, why he pushed Ryno off the stage, and why he made the statement “me love Kartel the most.”
