BET’s music countdown show 106 & Park may soon be a thing of the past after 12 years on the air.
According to reports, the network is giving the show the boot by the end of this month.

“We sadly announce that on September 28th, 2012, we will air our last episode,” 106 & Park tweeted.
Sources told Global Grind that the last episode for the show will be taped on Friday, September 21st. However, the last show will be aired on September 28.
This summer hosts Terrence Jenkins and Rocsi Diaz announced that they are leaving the show to pursue a career in acting. Jenkins also landed another job as co-host of E! News.

BET’s 106 & Park sent out the following tweet from their official twitter account contradicting the rumor.
“106 & Park is not ending. We have new hosts coming Oct. 1 & r planning an official send-off for our beloved @TerrenceJ & @RocsiDiaz #new106,” the tweet reads.
