Urban Islandz NEWS: Dipset’s rapper Vado has landed his first major record label deal with music mogul Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope Records.
According to reports, Vado has taken his talents to Interscope after a short stay on E1 Music. The Harlem spitter confirmed to XXLMag that he recently inked a deal with Interscope Records. Details of the deal are still emerging.
V-Don’s retail mixtape, Slime Flu hit stores last October, and was released on eOne. His collabo album with Cam’ron, Gunz N’ Butta, is slated to drop next month on April 12 also through eOne.
Cam’ron told Angie Martinez of Hot 97 FM that his protege signed the deal recently.
“Shout out to DJ and Jimmy Iovine at Interscope; we appreciate that. I’m really excited that he’s getting the opportunity to do his thing on his own,” said Killa.
Vado drop a collaboration with dancehall’s real Mckoy Mavado in december of last year called “M.O.V.A.D.O (MONEY OUTTA VIOLENCE AND DRUGS).”
