Young Money’s first lady Nicki Minaj recently opened up about her love life and why searching for Mr. Right would be a distraction for her blossoming career.
“I have no romance in my life at all, and it’s not important to me right now. I have love for people who are on my team that I see every day and for my family, that’s what makes me do what I do. I also have love for people that I interact with. If I have too much of the romantic love, I feel like it will distract me. Right now I feel like a robot.” (BET)
Last month, Minaj publicly revealed being a single lady on the market.
She told E!: “I’m proud that women, female rappers that come in this game after Nicki Minaj can see that, you know what? There is a chance for you to sell just as much as the boys and to be recognized. And you don’t have to feel like, because you’re a female rapper, you going to not be recognized. And so for that alone, I’m proud. I’m happy…Yes. I’m single and ready to mingle [laughs].”
