Some four months after his release from prison, rapper Lil Wayne announce his mega ‘I Am Music II Tour’ which will see the Young Money front man taking on North America.
Wayne has also recruit fellow labelmate Nicki Minaj and Mayback’s Rick Ross to headline the 25-date two months tour, which spans across the United States and a couple shows in Canada. The tour kicks off on March 18 at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY, and is presently scheduled to conclude with a May 1 performance at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, NJ.
The dates suggest that Weezy is staying true to his talks of not performing in New York City. The Young Money rapper, who has had several post-prison performances on shows such as ‘NBC’s New Years Eve with Carson Daly’ and ‘SNL’, which were both filmed in New York, has vowed that he won’t ever play a concert in the city.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Weezy said: “They’d have to give me U2 money.”
