Come December 16th Wyclef Jean, along with popular socialite Kim Kardashian, fashion icon/Urban Zen founder Donna Karan and music mogul Andre Harrell are hosting “The Truth.”
“The Truth” is a multimedia exhibition and auction of film images and artworks by Haitian, Haitian American and Haitian inspired artists.
A who’s who of film music and television will be in attendance as Forest and Kiki Whitaker, Spike Lee, Erykah Badu, David Arquette, Maria Bello, Gary Dourdan, Michael Stahl and Jimmy Jean-Louis will step out to support Haiti this holiday season.
The premier reception, exhibition and auction for Haiti relief features human rights activist Kerry Kennedy as “Master of Ceremonies,” renowned fashion photographer Marc Baptiste will act as the “Exhibition’s Curator”, and Christie’s Lydia Fenet will take the role of as the evening’s “Auctioneer.”
There will be musical performances from Haitian born Wyclef Jean and special guests, plus a live three-hour Twitter party hosted by Kim Kardashian.
The Premier Exhibition and Auction will raise funds to give “Gifts of Love” packages to the Haitian people this holiday season and into the New Year.
These packages will include vital supplies: shoes, solar flashlights and whistles to offset night attacks and rapes on women living in the Haitian camps. Cholera relief supplies will also be added as a critical component in these “Gifts of Love.”
