A new Lauryn Hill track has leaked online which fuel reports the grammy winning former Fugees star is recording a comeback album.
The tune “Repercussions” surfaced on the internet over the weekend; it is not clear whether the soulful song was freshly recorded or is simply an old track that has never been released.
The leak comes just weeks after Hill emerged from the shadows of hip-hop and expressed her excitement at performing live as part of the upcoming Rock The Bells Festival Series this summer.
The multi platinum selling star admitted she had grown disillusioned with the music industry and had put her career on hold to focus on raising her five kids with Rohan Marley the son of Reggae icon Bob Marley.
But Hill refused to fully commit to return to the recording studio and begin work on a new disc – her first since 1998’s critically-acclaimed The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which sold over 8 million copies in the US.
“People have never really heard me sing. I think if I do record, next time, perhaps, there will be an expanded context. People can hear a bit more,” Hill said in an interview
