Nicki Minaj came under fire on social media when she released an animated video for her single “Only.”
The cartoon clip for the lyric video has a lot of Nazi imagery and portrayed Nicki Minaj as a superhero. Since uploading the video to her YouTube Vevo page last weekend, she has been condemned by almost everyone with a keyboard.

The Trinidadian rapper has stepped forward to address her critics and issued an apology via her official Twitter page.
“I didn’t come up w/the concept, but I’m very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I’d never condone Nazism in my art,” Nicki tweeted.
Nicki Minaj also said that the artist responsible for the animation was influenced by Cartoon Network animated series Metalocalypse and Sin City. She also added that the song producer is Jewish.
“Both the producer, & person in charge of over seeing the lyric video (one of my best friends & videographer: A. Loucas), happen to be Jewish,” she tweeted.

The video has rocked up 2 million views on YouTube in four days. But despite the backlash, a lot of Nicki Minaj fans have come to her defense in the comment section.
The single “Only” features Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown who sings the hook. The single will be featured on Nicki Minaj’s upcoming album The PinkPrint.
