What began as a release for St. Vincent’s Carnival “Vincymas” has now grown to a well appreciated hit. Light up was released in late April – faring the charts and fans. Light Up grew in a short space of time to find a place in the heart of many listeners – unexpectedly the heart of one special listener Kerwin DuBois.
Kerwin and Skinny have been in chats of doing a project for quite some time, and now have put in the necessary studio time to make it a reality. Kerwin has brought his usual vigor and unparalleled talent to the project; Writing new verses, and delivering variation to the already established song that definitely adds to its spunk and vibe.
“Permission to wine, permission to grind!” – a fiery excerpt from Mr. Dubois’ vocals on the new remix. This project was well worth the wait and effort. The remix comes as an addition to the LIME 4G Riddim, produced by Kubiyashi. The LIME 4G Riddim is project designed to expose and embrace local and international talent, using a soundscape that is unique.
