The dancehall community is currently mourning the death of veteran deejay Captain Barkey
Barkey, whose real name is Wayne Hamilton, and his female companion Tracy Bennett were gunned down Saturday morning by a man identified as the ex-lover of Tracy.
According to reports, Hamilton was shot several times by a lone gunman as he and Bennett stepped out of a Bronx Motel at around 3:10 a.m. The gunman then chased down Bennett and shot her several times while she begged for her life.
Since news of his death spread, several dancehall veterans have weighed in while sending their condolence.
