Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been under increased scrutiny since his arrest in September on charges of racketeering and sex traffic.
The hip-hop mogul not only faces criminal charges that could send him away for decades but also an increased number of civil cases from people alleging he sexually assaulted them in the past. One of the biggest hurdles that Diddy has to overcome is his history with former girlfriend Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, who was the first woman to sue him last year for years of abuse and sexual assaults.
You can recall Diddy settled the lawsuit quickly after it was filed. However, the terms of their settlement remain undisclosed, with rumors that the billionaire and the singer settled the case for $30 million. Nevertheless, their settlement has not stopped details from leaking to the media and online. AllHipHop has obtained some leaked text messages between Diddy and Cassie, showing the R&B singer protesting the abuse she received from the Bad Boy Records founder.
In one text message, Cassie allegedly stated that she had a black eye and busted lips. In Another message, she called him out for dragging her down the hallway by her hair, resulting in her being bruised.
“I have a black eye and fat lip. You are sick for thinking it’s OK to do what you’ve done…I still have crazy bruising,” the test message reads. In another message she wrote, “I turn my head for a second, and you get f—- up, and you drag me down the hall by my hair…I have bleeding cuts…You hit me in the head two good times.” In a third message that was leaked, she said, “When you get f—– up the wrong way, you always want to show me that you have the power and you knock me around. I’m not a rag doll. I’m someone’s child.”
A video showing Diddy brutally attacking Cassie at a hotel in Los Angeles in 2012 was leaked to CNN earlier this year. The video shows the hip-hop icon chasing down his then-girlfriend in the hotel hallway before throwing her to the ground as she waits on an elevator. He then stomped on her on the ground before dragging her back to his room. Diddy released a video after that apologizing for his actions while saying he has been getting counseling, calling it a dark period in his life.
Diddy is being held without bond at the Metropolitan Detention Center, MDC, in Brooklyn. A trial date is set for May 2025. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
