World Dawg Remembers Slain Friend In Touching Tribute

World Dawg has broken his silence following the death of his friend last week in Florida.

Urban Islandz reported earlier this month that the dancehall artist was shot and injured and his friend killed in a shooting incident in Miramar. World Dawg, whose real name is Akeen Dunbar, was shot in his hand while his friend was reportedly shot in his upper body. In remembering his friend, Joe, in a touching tribute on Instagram on Thursday, October 24.

“Miss u mi brother I love you bro,” Dunbar wrote on his Instagram Story while sharing a photo of himself with his fallen friend. The TikTok star used I-Octane’s “Lose a Friend” as the soundtrack for the post. In another post, he wrote, “Thank you for the prayers I appreciate it.” He used CeCe Winans’ “Come Jesus Come” as the soundtrack for that post which was a baby photo of his late friend.

“Thanks you guy for the prayers thank you,” Dunbar wrote in a separate post on Facebook while adding praying hands emojis.

Police have yet to make an arrest for the shooting incident. According to the police report, a 911 call was placed at around 3:30 a.m. of a reported shooting that took place in a Dunkin’ parking lot on 6190 Miramar Parkway, Miramar. Cops found shell casings and blood in the parking lot upon arrival but didn’t find the victims. Cops received another call a short while later that a man turned up at the Memorial Regional Hospital with gunshot wounds.

Another male victim was later found but succumbed to his injuries. The victim’s pregnant girlfriend, who visited the shooting scene the following morning was rushed to the hospital after being overcome by grief.
