T.I. Announces Upcoming Album Title “Trouble Man”

Atlanta rapper T.I. is planning to get into more trouble with his eight studio album tentatively titled Trouble Man.

Trouble Man is the follow-up to TIP’s 2010 LP No Mercy. The King of the South says the album was partly inspired by Marvin Gaye’s 1972 song of the same name.

T.I. said he has recorded 45 songs for the project, including the Big K.R.I.T.-assisted “I’m Flexin’” and “Here Ye, Hear Ye” with Pharrell, and is now down to selecting his next single.

“I have this one record [called] ‘Pyro’ that I’m proud of,” he told Billboard.com’s “The Juice.” “‘Pyro’ is a straight party record. It’s nostalgic of those crazy nights, early mornings [but] just turned up.”

Adding,

“A lot of times I’m taking myself out of my element,” he explained. “This is the first project where I’m talking about things that I’ve experienced before that I’m not necessarily experiencing now ’cause I’m not doing a whole lot of partying. I do a little bit but not a lot, nothing like when I was in that life.”

The album release date is not yet known.
