Taylor Swift Officially Joins The Voice Season 17

Taylor Swift is joining the judges on popular US singing competition, The Voice.

The announcement was made today and E! News gave us the insight on how the other judges feel about it. “She’s pretty incredible. I really respect her as a songwriter,” veteran judge Gwen Stefani told the interviewer.

Taylor being a judge on The Voice, has been a dream of not only the television network I’m sure but tons of fans and aspiring competitors. Imagine the chance to receive formal one-on-one coaching from the ten-time Grammy award-winning singer who is also a brilliant songwriter. The ratings are projected to skyrocket this year based on the audience demographics that the show usually has and the addition of Swift to the weekly competition.

The industry giant has been in the game for over ten years, has six number one albums and a reported net worth of $360 million. Last month, the singer was nominated for 10 MTV Video Music Awards. She won ‘Video of The Year’ at the award show for the second time for her gay pride anthem “You Need To Calm Down.” During her acceptance speech, Swift took the opportunity to call out Donald Trump for not responding to the petition for the equality act.

Taylor has been more vocal about a lot of issues lately – both social and personal. She also sounded off online about how very wrong she found Scooter Braun purchasing all her masters for $300 million. She’s now re-recording her earlier albums to regain control. Taylor rallied a lot of celebrity support and garnered a lot of sympathies when she shared an extensive message online expressing her feelings towards the situation and why she was wronged.

Taylor Swift has definitely done a great job of remaining in the spotlight this year. Now that she’ll be on TV every week, we can’t wait to see how this season of The Voice will go. Season 17 of The Voice premieres on October 23 on NBC.
