Bronx rapper Lil Tjay was arrested moments ago.
The full details surrounding his arrest is not yet known, but multiple video footage surfaced online on Tuesday showing police officers putting him into a squad car while a group of men yelled “Free TJay.” Lil Tjay‘s arrest comes a week after he released his new song “F.N.” which has been gaining traction. Some fans are already labeling the arrest a publicity stunt to help drive up streaming of his music, but Urban Islandz could not confirm if it’s fake or real.
Whether or not this is a publicity stunt, we have to take it seriously given the current climate between police officers and young black men.
Last week, the Bronx native released a mini-documentary of himself titled “The Prince of New York” which chronicles a day in his life as he prepares for a massive sold-out concert. The clip also touched on his origins in the underground New York rap scene, as well as, clips of him in voice lessons and hitting up the studio with Polo G.
Lil Tjay was also fingered for his alleged involvement in a street brawl and robbery of YBN Almighty Jay.
