Rihanna is showering Kendrick Lamar with praise for winning the Pulitzer Prize in music and thus becoming the first rapper to be award with the prize.
Rihanna pretty much echoed how we all feel about Kendrick bagging such a prestigious prize, telling him that it’s carries a far-reaching effect on the next generation. On Saturday, the Bajan pop star posted a message for K-Dot that reads, “Congrats to my boy KungFuKenny on making history and winning such a prestigious award like a Pulitzer! Keep showing the kids that anything is possible man.”
Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize for his Grammy-winning album DAMN making it the first non-classical or jazz work to earn the award. The Pulitzer board says the project is “a work that captures the complexity of African-American life,” the Boston Globe reported.
Rihanna isn’t the only big name artist showing Kendrick Lamar love on Twitter, other artists have been sounding off on his latest accolade and what it means for hip hop. Kendrick had one of the biggest albums on the planet last year with DAMN breaking all sorts of records.
