Tory Lanez caught a lot of heat from Drake and his fans when he released a remix for “Controlla” earlier this year.
Drizzy even took a mild jab at the Canadian singer on his “Summer Sixteen” single where he raps, “All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little / All your exes know I like my O’s with a V in the middle / You would love it if I went away or didn’t say nothing else / How am I keeping it real by keeping this sh** to myself?”
During an interview on “Sway in the Morning” Tory Lanez finally broke his silence on his beef with Drake and also remaking the “Controlla.”
“Y’all gotta really look at that line,” he said about the Drake line on Summer Sixteen.” “If he was talking about me, I definitely don’t want to be…I want to be me, the greatest me I can be. So after that was done, what kind of relevance did that hold?”
On his infamous remake of “Controlla” Lanez said, “I went on ‘I Got the Keys’ the same day. We dropped them both at the same time. It just happened to be that people felt they liked the song a lot and people felt I bodied it so much that it just became a thing.”
