Tupac Shakur‘s biopic All Eyez On Me is in danger of being derailed due to the rights of the song “Ambitionz Az a Ridah.”
Daz Dillinger is claiming that he has the rights to the single that is being prominently used in the movie. But BMG publishing house says that they have the rights to the single. Now there is Mexican standoff between the two parties resulting in the movie release date being pushed back from September to November, TMZ reported.
Producers say the change in date is to allow the rapper and BMG to sort out their legal fight over the single and come to an agreement. Daz is suing the publishing company claiming that they owe him $75k in royalties.
All Eyez On Me is the first official biopic for rap legend Tupac Shakur. The movie was commissioned by his late mother Afeni Shakur before her death on May 2.
The role of Tupac is being played by Demetrius Shipp Jr. who is the dead stamp of Pac.
