Dancehall Artist World Dawg Shot, Friend Killed, Swiiss Lee Clears Name

Jamaican influencer and aspiring dancehall artist World Dawg is currently hospitalized nursing gunshot wounds.

The social media personality, whose real name is Akeem Dunbar, was one of the victims in an early morning shooting incident on Monday (October 14). According to the police report, the shooting incident took place around 3:30 a.m. in a Dunkin’ parking lot on 6190 Miramar Parkway, Miramar. The 911 call has since been released where you can hear a man believed to be Dunbar telling dispatchers that he was shot.

“I got shot, I got shot,” the man can be heard telling dispatchers. “My friend died.”

Police have since identified the dead man as 34-year-old Kaven Flynn. In the meantime, World Dawg is currently in stable condition at the Memorial Regional Hospital in Florida where he is getting treatment. Police have yet to identify a motive or make an arrest for the shoot and are asking anyone with information to step forward.

Another Jamaican influencer, Swiiss Lee, is caught up in the shooting saga following allegations that he was involved. Lee has since stepped forward to clear his name of any wrongdoings. “Right after me birthday bro me friend get shot in a him hand, bruk him bone bro. Yuh know how that feel? unnu deh yah a talk ’bout sacrifice and setup.. unuh just a spread bay rumour bro,” Swiiss said while on TikTok Live. Another TikToker, Brittaney, alleges that Lee was involved in his friend being shot, earning a swift response from the influencer.

“How me fi set up me friend bro?” Lee said. “Yuh know how this hurt me fi hear seh me friend get shot inna him hand and the next dawg dead. One thing me a tell yo Britt, me will never forgive you bro. Me just leave yuh to God Mumma, me nuh have nothing more fi seh to you.”

Swiiss Lee also revealed that World Dawg successfully underwent surgery for the gunshot wound he received on his hand. Dunbar is on his way to recovery.
