Lil Uzi Vert and Young Thug have been best friends for a while, and now it appears that the “XO Tour Life” rapper is missing his BFF. Uzi posted a throwback photo of himself and Thugger tooling around. That same photo first surfaced on social media earlier this year and quickly went viral with black Twitter suggesting that both rappers are gay. Homophobia aside, in the photo, Uzi sits in front of the Barter rapper with his glass of champagne and his man purse in tow, while his BFF kneel with his tongue out while wearing a ton of pearls.
One of the first things you will notice is the stack of cash that Young Thug is flaunting, a clear sign that these two rappers are filthy rich. Now that Thug found himself in a bit of a legal bind, Uzi is lending his voice to the #FreeThugger movement. Several other rappers have given their voices to the movement including T.I. and Meek Mill.
Young Thug was thrown behind bars last week after failing a drug test, which is a violation of his bail conditions. His attorney is now fighting for his release, but so far they haven’t made any breakthroughs. Legal troubles aside, Thug is currently working on his new album Barter 7, due sometime soon. He first teased the project last month right after Lil Wayne dropped Tha Carter V. Now that he is in jail, it’s unclear when the project will arrive. Lil Uzi Vert is also currently working on his new album, due sometime soon.
