Vybz Kartel Reacts To Alkaline Diss With Fan Favorite Gritty War Song

Vybz Kartel appears to have fired back at Alkaline on Instagram.

Alkaline unleashed a new single, “Deep Sleep,” last weekend where he took some shots at Vybz Kartel and Rygin King. It didn’t take too long for the Gaza Boss to share his response amidst the hype. On Saturday, Kartel shared a video clip from a famous Jet Li movie which transitioned into an African war cut. His gritty single “We Nuh Fraid Nobody” serves as a worthy soundtrack for the video. “Good Afternoon #GAZANATION #WeNuhFrightenSoEasy,” he wrote in the caption.

Vybz Kartel is pretty much sending a message to the Vendetta side of the divide that the Gaza don’t get frightened too easily, and he is not afraid of the threats Alkaline sends in “Deep Sleep.” The Gaza versus Vendetta beef is shaping up to be one for the ages, but can it topped the Gully/Gaza war of the mid to late 2000s?

Only time will tell because Kartel is not one to back down from a lyrical war against the best and brightest that dancehall has to offer. On the other hand, some fans may argue that his incarceration put him at a disadvantage when it comes to the quality of the productions surrounding some of his new material. But Kartel was holding his own during a brief revival of his war with Mavado back in 2016.

Vybz Kartel new album Exiled Pharoah is on the way, so perhaps we can expect a diss track or two on that project, but we’re told that it’s strictly for his core Gaza fan base who have supported him over the years. One of Kartel’s protege, Sikka Rymes, also released a counteraction to Alka called “Deep Sleep.” We will be posting the track in another post so stay tuned to Urban Islandz.
